Re: Eufy Security Cameras

I have the same system and have had it for almost a year. I have no complaints thus far and really like that you don't have to pay a subscription fee to store the videos. Battery life on the one facing out from my garage was 6 months but it gets the most activity since it records us coming and going...

Re: Honda XR650R - Thoughts

It's a great, reliable bike and was won multiple Baja races to prove that fact. Have a friend, Hayden on this forum, who had one and I watched him about kill himself trying to kick start the thing. We were at Turner's Bend gas station in Arkansas on a flat solid surface. Trying to start it on the tr...

Re: FYI: bolt on tie downs

Looks like a great option for tying or securing "stuff" to your bike, wish I would have thought of it. I would be leery using it to secure your bike when transporting it. Running the strap around the fork leg is a better option in my opinion. Thanks for sharing!

Re: Dual Sport Vs. Adventure Bikes

Having the right tool for the job is an age old problem. Can you drive a screw into a 2x4 with a hammer? Sure but using a screwdriver is a lot easier. Same can be said about which bike to buy. I've rode my F800 around Perry, but riding a 300 XC-W was a lot easier. So you will find a lot of riders wi...

Drop the mic! What a great post Joe and I don't think you left any detail. That sure looks like a factory KTM team in the picture. Now if there was only a place where JB could buy a used pickup if needed.....

Re: KTM releases adventure shower attachment ...

I remember a time when we got back from a ride and all jumped in the Mulberry River at Byrds Rustic Riverside Retreat. That cold water and cold beer sure felt good. Then a local road up on his ATV and gave us the stink eye, I guess we were making too much noise.

Re: FINALLY! Honda CRF450L

I'm glad Honda finally made the move and heck maybe Yamaha will now make their WR450 street legal??? Adding another option is a good thing and I would consider one if I was in the market. For me having a large dealership network would not be a factor in purchasing this bike. With availability of par...

KTM 300 XC-W Will Have TPI for 2019

I was shocked KTM didn't release the 300 this year with the TPI.

Re: Anybody riding???

I went out for a short ride yesterday and ran into some drama. Near the end of my ride I was coming through DeSoto and turned down what I thought was road. Well it is actually an access road to a substation. So I quickly turn around and as I pass by a house on the access road a guy comes running and...

Re: Dual Sport Training-Bill Conger

I would be interested in more information about the course. Like is it for smaller dual sport bikes <500cc or would a larger bike 800-1200cc be acceptable? Cost is another question... Also, this is Mother's Day weekend and I would have to get a pass from the boss to attend :-o .

Re: Post pics or video from your ride today

Given my recent back surgeries I'm seriously considering this to help me lift the F800 when I dump it and Troy is not there to lift it for me. It is a little pricey, so Saifri or someone else might be able to direct me to another option.

Re: Dirt bikes for noobs questions

I would like to call BS on XR-Nut, "We're not very fast and never take any difficult lines though." He and his boys are fast riders and I've hardly ever seen him take an easy line. As I stated, spring your Husky to your riding weight. Manufacturers put in stock suspension springs based on a 70 kilog...

Re: Dirt bikes for noobs questions

I have had a stabilizer on several motorcycles and have one now on my BMW. They do help taking the twitchy feeling out of the handling and add confidence. One mod I would strongly recommend doing first is correct suspension set-up. I would have laughed at someone who told me this a few years ago, bu...

Re: Dirt bikes for noobs questions

I've got a hitch hauler and I will let you borrow to see if you like. It is an aluminum version so it can hold up to 300 pounds. I used to haul my 2005 Husqvarna TE 510 with it and had no major problems. The only issue I had was the rear end sag due to the weight of the bike, as Safiri stated it doe...

Re: Lyndon Poskitt goes to Dakar again and wants to bring you more coverage!

This might be the reason the last episode is not up.... I really enjoyed following his Dakar adventures. From Lyndon's Facebook page: Back in hospital again How I ever got through Dakar I never know. Chest infection before, heavy antibiotics for the first week and then 2 days from the end I began to...
