Re: Ride July Fourth

Good to hear you decided to ride in the heat anyways. I ended up chosing to ride the pedal road bike today. That's interesting. I have just this week decided to try cycling. I spent hour or two riding Liberty neighborhoods yesterday morning. I am trying to make it a habit as I really need some exer...

Re: Ride July Fourth

I managed to get in about 75 miles I guess. Yep , got wet and loved every minute.... well almost, except for the lightning. managed to dodge it for today! Ride really was fun, even if I was alone. The KLRs are heavy but they really fit the bill for my riding adventures, as limited as they may be. It...

Ride July Fourth

I would be up for a couple of hours or more in the saddle, depending on when we get started, if anyone is interested. I am in the phone book or contact me here.

I have paid my money but won't arrive till late Friday night and need to leave Saturday night. One good ride is well worth $35 to me.

It will with this over-priced fork brace for the KLR650: http://www.dual-star.com/index2/Brand/Kawasaki/klr%20650%20fork%20brace.htm http://www.dual-star.com/index2/Images%20JPG/Fork%20Brace%20Rear%20Left%20Sm.jpg I think that fork brace would have killed me in Saturdays mud! It would have had to c...

Darn, bent the front rim pretty good on the KLR. One of the cement low water crossings had an extremely abrupt ledge I didn't see till I hit it. Just another hazard of the sport I guess. Time for the 18" front mod... http://i80.photobucket.com/albums/j185/bullfrogarcher/DSC02106.jpg I have seen thi...

Chris, thanks for all your efforts setting up the ride and especially thanks for helping me pick that pig of a motorcycle up out of the mud. I couldn't have done it without you! Re: Spotted

Thought I would start a thread that some of the other national dualsport forums have. So I'll start. Yellow DR650 riding on 152 in the mornings and afternoon. Don't know if this guy is new or what, but won't wave no matter what. Maybe he doesn't notice me every morning or since its a Suzuki, he has...
