Re: Want a dirt bike
That's about the perfect one/two punch when it comes to woods bikes. It will have a completely differrent character than the 450. 450 = your high school sweetheart that you married..... 300 = hot pole dancer at Baby Dolls you horsed around with for awile...... PV springs and pipes can tailor the pow...

Re: Harley Guy
[metric cruiser riders who are confused anyway. ] What's confusing about wanting to ride a more reliable, more powerful, water cooled shaft or chain drive, at half the price - bike? the song says it all Who builds a bike with a water cooled shaft or chain drive? Is the chain totally immersed in coo...

Re: '07 565 KTM EXC
Stu, I was sorry to see you had to give up the heavy off road stuff, but we'll all get there eventually. My exact thoughts were, "I bet he'd like to have the 525 back", and it looks like it's going to happen. The '25 is perfect for what you probably want to do. and it will still have some of the fee...
Re: Track Day
That's too bad it's full. I was worried they may only give you 1 or 2 laps but 5 to 10 is worth coming out for. There must be some way to sign up in advance? Is this an organization that has a website where you can check for track day dates and the availability of parade laps? I'll show up at 10ish ...
Re: Track Day
That sounds cool. So you can show up at 10AM just to do the parade laps and you don't have to tape up or have full leathers. How many parade laps do you get to take? Does it cost anything? Do you just enter on the east side where the racers always go in? Would I get a bunch of sideways looks if I sh...

Re: My new bike!
Im still unimpressed with the fmf q pipe, wish it were quieter. I might start looking for a used db snorkel. I remember reading a story about some ride somewhere they had exhaust sound checks and there was a half dozen bikes that were too loud and not allowed on the ride. They cut up some rear inne...

Gnarly, why?
Just curious. Should be a fun bike when you get it done.

Re: Anyone in the Wichita area?
Thanks for the reports guys. I talked to a guy yesterday that lives in Wichita and he said JEEPS is a bottomless pit of mud right now.
Don't forget, Supercross is on this sat nite, and the first round of NHRA on Sunday. I guess the weekend won't be a total loss.

Re: Anyone in the Wichita area?
Thanks Hayden. I think it's supposed to be pretty dry between now and this weekend so I'll have to wait and see how it looks late int he week.

Anyone in the Wichita area?
Is there anyone in Wichita that could give us an idea how wet it is in the general area of the Jeeps riding area sometime later next week?
Thanks.

Re: Jan. 21 (Sun.) Ride
Thanks for the ride yesterday Stu, that was alot of fun with a great group of guys. Crazy525; I've raced there 3 or 4x in the FMHS series, once was the team race with Stu last year. I've always done well at BS primarily because it's the type of terrain/track I like to ride, meaning, It flows really ...

Re: Jan. 21 (Sun.) Ride
I wish I could join you, but can't do it this weekend. I'm also guessing this isn't the best place for a KTM 690E either? Never ridden a KLR, but assuming they're agility is on par. Too bad you can't make it, I'd like to see that 690. . **Stu, I might be able to bring a couple more riders if you wa...

Re: Jan. 21 (Sun.) Ride
If you like to ride nice flowing single track, Big Springs is a good place to ride. With the exception of Melvern, it's probably the easiest track around which makes it alot of fun. (I wouldn't want to horse a KLR around it though, just ask the guy that tried it at the team race last summer). Stu, h...

Re: Perry Saturday Jan. 7 Ride?
That was a good ride yesterday, what, maybe 10 riders, great guys, the dirt was almost perfect , virtually no dust and very little mud, (rare from my past Perry experiences), good ride leaders. After awhile we split up into a couple groups and we were hitting a nice fun pace. Thanks for putting it t...
