Re: Sun Jun 29: Dell's Flint Hills Dual Sport

There's always one guy in the group that just can't behave and before you know it, they send the "hallway monitor" back to keep an eye on you. Mark had a great route and carried a good pace. Talking with Jim L' is always a blast from the past. Wabunsee county + a Dual Sport + good guys = G...

Re: 1998 KTM 620RXCe

Wayne, if you ever have any questions about that bike or Lc4's in general, feel free to call, PM or e-mail, I've owned five of them. You should have my contact data as I'm the one you bought that bike from. It's a small world. :D That's a very solid bike I might add. Also, I found quite a cache of s...

Re: Dell's Powersports dual sport ride from Tonganoxie KS Ma

Hmmm. Sounds pretty tempting. This isn't one of those daisy gazing, bird watching rides at a leisurely 10 mph? Mac, I just blew iced tea all over my keyboard. LOL!!!! It's trouble makers like you that make it bad for all of us. I actually was going to try and make this ride but I have a g...

Re: Heartland Park bike track day

You did not go on the drag strip at all when on the road course. When I arrived I went to the paddock area and asked some guys some questions and they directed me to the guy that arranged the laps. They inspected your bike and you had to tape up mirrors and lights and that was it. There was no cost ...

Heartland Park bike track day

Heartland Park Topeka has a number of bike track days scheduled. A couple years ago I read a post here on RideForum that said the general public could show up with your street bike and they would take you out for some laps on the course so I did it on my street bike and had a good time. Does anyone ...

Re: Kurt Caselli.......... R.I.P.

News is starting to come out that Caselli may have hit an animal on the course, still a terrible thing to happen. There is a number of vids on youtube showing booby traps the locals set up to cause crashes. One shows a buggy hitting one and flipping 3x. When it came to rest, much of the crowd ran to...

Re: Randolph June 27-28

Last year it was bikes only and I suspect it's the same this year. Clay Center is part of the Great Plains Flat Track series.
My wife and I plan on being there. Good times.

Re: Time for Wabaunsee Co. again... July 21?

Thanks Larry, haven't been on a DS ride in that area for a long time. Good times. I was a little bummed out we didn't come across any forlorn wenches out walking alone in the middle of nowhere. Oh we'll, ya pay your money and take your chances....

The next two weekends, I could make it on Sunday. Once into August, Sat or Sun is OK. An early AM start time is fine.

Mac I suspect you have waypointed all these locations where you have "encountered women walking alone" out in the middle of nowhere and were going to include those roads in your upcoming ride,.... right?

Re: Knee Protection

About 15 years ago while riding I suffered an impact to the outside of my right knee causing it to buckle in towards my left leg and it severed my ACL. At that time since I was no longer involved in any "cutting" sports, I just had it removed. ever since then I have worn a Breg, (prescribed) on it a...

Re: Sturgis!

My brother and I went in '90, took my family up in '91. Sturgis is quite commercialized now and that's not neccesarily a bad thing. Main street is lot's of vendors, beer gardens, pretty much party time but it's all laid back, everyone just having a good time. We stayed in the Glencoe campground, and...
