Re: Milford, 2.27.11
They schedule Milford 1st every year because the terrain handles water better then some of the other tracks. If we are lucky and avoid any significant moisture between now and then, it should be OK. I know they have rain in the forcast. They may have updates on the FM site about the course next week...

Re: What we are doing this winter
http://offroad-review.com/new/index.php?page=354 There is a program on Speed called "Truck U", they build 4WD stuff. They had a show on recently that covered the Griffin King of the Hammer race that is held I believe in the California desert. It was pretty neat as it combined alot of Baja type open ...

Re: Perry 12.10.10, NOW 12.19.10
Myself, Dan and Shawn rode for almost 2 hours at Perry on 1.2.11. we hit it hard for an hour 45 then the ground started thawing and it got pretty slick so we put them on the trailer. It was a good traning day. I hope it clears and drys up by 2.13.11, that's the Massacre date at Jeeps.

I thought I recognized the name Luis B'.... He raced FM off and on a few years ago. Good luck to him, and the 150.

Re: Perry 12.10.10, NOW 12.19.10
Thanks Stu, that was alot of fun. We were hittin' a pretty serious lick the last 45 minutes or so of the ride. Good thing the quads stayed out of our way. Earlier in the day when we got seperated once, I fell in with the group that had the new KTM350SX. There was a girl on a new KTM 2 stroke last in...

Re: Perry 12.10.10, NOW 12.19.10
There is no snow on the ground at all in Topeka, a 10% chance for today, and a forcasted high of 45 degrees. It will be a perfect day to be in the woods.

Stu, you mentioned in another thread possibly riding tomorrow, (friday 12.10) at Perry. I'd be up for it between about noon until 3PM. Post here if you want to go. I'll check the board about 11AM Friday. If I don't see anythng I'm headed for Oakland.

A couple of interesting sites.
http://ridedualsport.com/forum/index.php http://www.kushsprockets.com/sprockets Surfing around I found a couple interesting sites. The DS site I believe is based out of California. The Kush sprocket is an interesting option for KTM's and other similar bikes with no cush rear hub or clutch assembly. ...

Melvern Kansas, this Sunday. It's one of the easier tracks, lots of open sections, wide single track, flows well.

Re: Hello-------- I'm David H, and I'm a Wingdinger
I saw David and his new bike a couple weeks ago in Wamego. The bike is yellow. You will not miss David riding down the street. I bet you can even see the bike at night in the garage with the lights off. A Barcalounger on wheels for sure. I'm not certain that Dave's getting any better looking though....

Re: Wabaunsee county August 14th
That was a fun ride as I haven't done much backroads stuff the last few years. The Eskridge/Alma area is full of good low/(NO) maintenance stuff and the elevation changes makes it more fun. I think you could ride sun-up to sundown out there and still not cover them all. The 450 was alot of fun to ri...

Re: To SIT or to STAND that is the ? But is standing LEGAL?!
If standing up is illegal it shouldn't be. Mr. Copperhead is used to riding around all day long in the lap of luxury called a Crown Victoria. When was the last time he spent a long day on a KTM seat that has the consistency of Portland cement? I don't like it when "man-land" goes to sleep on me so I...

Re: KTM vs Husky
Not starting any trouble here, I was just trying to gain some perspective from a performance point of view about the Huskies since I for all practical purposes, have not ridden them. I've always agreed with what Mike said in riding what the masses rides may help if you break down on the trail as som...

KTM vs Husky
I've noticed a number of people have been moving away from Husky to KTM and was wondering why. The only two Huskies I've ever ridden was a 2008 I believe, TE-610 and back in the day, a mid 70's 360 2T. The 610 I found to be a very nice bike and if there was dealer support in the area I'd most likely...
