Re: 2015 BBQ Run

I am in for Sat--probably camping that night. Funny--in the 1st post, propforward does not provide a PayPal address to send payment...or any kind of address for that matter. I sent message to propforward.

Re: New addition to Bird Farm trails

AWESOME!

Larry, with the $100 entry fee for the trails, you'll eventually make your money back on all this work!

Seriously, THANK YOU for your generosity!

That muffler (not the stock one) is a very good muffler. Beat up I know. I cleaned it out and repacked it a year or so ago, so it should be good.

Re: 2007 450 KTM EXC Rejuvenation August 2015

Couple things, Carl. First, I don't know how those radiators could have gotten beat up. I never rode the bike hard or anything. I don't recall ever hitting anything. Weird. Second, I think the way you bolted the radiators on is fine--it's what I would have done. The factory mounts are rubb...

Re: 2007 450 KTM EXC Rejuvenation August 2015

I'm admiring your progress....I bet the 450 doesn't miss it's old neglectful owner  I wish I had the time to do this to my bikes. Seriously. When Carl started this, I was like, OK, so he's going to clean up a few things, fix the oil leak. Who wouldn't? ..but now this is getting ridiculous! Tha...

Re: Anyone riding dirt this weekend?

My 500 is missing the forks and shock (rebuilt and being shipped today I hope). My 300 is not running good enough to ride...needs carb rebuild I think/hope. I would look (try to make it better) at your 300 if you so desired. Generous of you, Carl! You don't want to fire this 2-stroke up in your nei...

Re: 2007 450 KTM EXC Rejuvenation August 2015

I see you are using WD-40 to clean the electrical connectors. I also open the connectors and cram in dielectric grease to prevent water intrusion and corrosion. And Carl should have found most of the electrical connectors were packed with dialectric grease. Slightly less than 2 years ago, I took th...

Can we settle on 9/19/15 at Perry?
Sure seems more votes were for Carbondale, but anywhere is better than donuts in my driveway. (I just rode Perry and it was tore up bad.)

Carl, I fear you might be one of the many "old timers" who, after seeing what Chadwick has become over last 20 years, will lament the good old days.

Re: RV Camping Trailers

I spent some time with motomann's huge toy hauler on my Crested Butte ride last month. It has an air intake on the top- left side of the trailer located in the front of the "garage". It has another vent at the bottom-right side at the back of the garage. In this way as you drive, air is pulled throu...

Re: 2007 450 KTM EXC Rejuvenation August 2015

The fancy coolants, as I understand, don't really do anything to make the bike run cooler--they simply have a higher boiling point. So this means your bike gets to run even hotter before you realize it. The advantage being if the 5 degrees was all you needed to keep from boiling over, well that's go...

Thanks
In the past, I bought a stupidly expensive jug of something at a motorcycle store that was supposed to help prevent boil over. NO. I don't.

Re: 2015 BBQ Run

Luc & I had a nice time last year! Great BBQ, fun trails--especially on the big bikes--and nice camping weather. It was a good time for sure! It's on my 2015 calendar.
