What?! I attended your "Retirement Party", Carl. I feel lied to. You are like one of those mattress stores throwing a "GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE" only to open the doors 2 weeks later. What a scam. Is "Carl" even your real name? :D

Re: How to race a motorcycle across the US

This kind of riding does not excite me in the least. Likewise, I have no real desire to do any of the various Iron Butt challenges. Props to those who do them, just not my thing--does not touch the core of why I ride.

Re: Chadwick Jan.30th

...I haven't got the step stool thing figured out yet even though I have watched you do it with success. :? No doubt, loading and unloading a bike can be butt-puckering. A guy could get hurt pretty bad in that process. You definitely build your confidence after you've done it a few hundred times! I...

Re: Chadwick Jan.30th

Troy, not sure which bike gave you front brake problems but my '13 350XCFW has done this to me a couple of times now. Quick fix for me has been to do a reverse bleed by prying apart the front brake pads, then apply the front brake many times until pressure starts to build back up, just like you do ...

I'm not but I do own a hand held Garmin that I think is called the Colorado. I really need to take the time to learn it, but I would be willing to buy one - what did you have in mind? Wait! Are you thinking I give you guys the unit then you take it to Arkansas? While I have no personal experience w...

Re: Leatt neck brace, eBay deal

Thanks for posting this deal, Mike! I was there for said event. I did not see the actual impact, but I quickly realized Mike, who had been right behind, was missing. It was a rough scene and Mike was quite dazed still when I got back to him. The others who witnessed the impact were quite concerned.

Re: Chadwick Jan.30th

How was Chadwick?! I bet it was great! I have not made it there since they made the N side single-track only. I REALLY wanted to join you guys, but opted to ride with my brother, Kyle, and Luc out N of Manhattan at the Randolph ORV area. It was WAY muddier than we expected it to be. If I had known i...

Re: Riding Jan. 29-31

Great pics & videos! What a beautiful weekend to ride. Carl! Did those guys hurt you?! Looks like you hung in there, man! How's the Husky running? I ended up riding, but instead of hitting Chadwick, I ended up riding the Randolph ORV area N of Manhattan with my brother, Kyle, and Luc. It was a TOTAL...

Re: Topeka area ride Wednesday jan 27th

Riding motorcycles is dangerous and irresponsible. Shame on you. It has proven difficult in the past to find week day riding buddies. It's hard enough to find folks to go ride on a perfect weekend! Throw in middle of winter and some folks actually "winterize" their bikes, yada, yada, yada........

Re: Chadwick Jan.30th

I now have a "deployment" I need to do for work at 2 am this Sat morning. I expect it to take me less than 1 hour. It's a little risky for me to be gone this Saturday. So I'm probably out now, but....we'll see! If I do come, I'll be driving down Sat morning and a little groggy.

Re: Riding Jan. 29-31

Sounds like they are talking White Rock not Chadwick. I was in a hurry and mixed conversations. Sorry! Yeah--don't stay at Chadwick to ride NW AR! There are other good options, but the best lodging down there close to the riding is Mulberry Mountain Lodge. http://www.mulberrymountainlodge.co...

Re: Riding Jan. 29-31

I think I can go but need lodging as opposed to camping. I am not set up to camp. Can you tell me exactly where I should make arramgents? The only accommodations I'm aware of that are actually close (less than 30 minutes) are these nice cabins right across the road from Chadwick OHV area. http://ou...

Looks like fun Troy, have you been to one of these in previous years? Sorry for the late reply, Jamee. Yeah, I've ridden several of them. The Razorback Riders is a great club with really nice club grounds and camping in the St. Francis Forest. These guys can lead you on the best singletrack the are...

This is very exciting! Thanks to Yamaha, eventually we won't have to worry about having to ride our motorcycles anymore! Instead, we'll be able to buy a robot that will ride our motorcycles for us! No more gearing up just to ride your bike and deal with all that wind noise, concern about rain, rough...

Just FYI, I'm not seeing any pic issues.

Carl, sorry for all the trouble you are having with the Husky! But it's in the right hands!
