Re: Trail ride Christmas eve?
I will be doing stuff with my family all that week. Since your family rides, I guess you can combine "family time" with riding!

Re: Lets get some big bikes dirty this Saturday !!
I am one brave enough and with appropriate gear for road riding in cold and wet weather, but....I have an easy out for Sunday. I'll be out of town for a family event. So easy for me to say, "Dude, I'd so be there, but I'll be out of town. Maybe next time!"

Re: Lets get some big bikes dirty this Saturday !!
Sounds great, Scott! ....however, I have to be in Wichita this weekend for a family event. You are one of several new folks to the forum in the last year, and many are relatively new to off-pavement riding. There might be some renewed interest in getting some good old-fashioned dualsport rou...

Re: Another Bird Farm ride
Your generosity is very much appreciated, Larry! For those of you who don't know, Larry has created approximately 5 miles of single-track on his pheasant farm. The trails are smooth with barely a rock in sight . This is rare for any off-road trails anywhere around KS or MO. This makes the trails ve...

Re: Open Letter to the Backroads Touring Kansas Community
Thanks, Eddie! Thanks, Creekside! It's actually not a lot of work to keep RideForum.NET going from a technical perspective. My laziness demands that I don't create a system that requires a lot of effort on my part! :-D The goal of this website is simple--facilitate community by providing an easy-to-...

Bout in the middle of both forums....Emporia. Perfect gateway to some Flint Hills dualsport! You will have to lead a ride in you backyard and get folks from Wichita and KC there for a day of riding. 8) Troy, Thanks for the open letter and the invitation to join forces. Re: SAT NOV 26 | Chili Feed @ Dell's Powersports
Had a really nice time out at Dell's today. It was great to finally meet Mark Riggins, the owner. Mark is a dualsport enthusiast and leads Flint Hills rides. I am subscribed to his e-newsletter, and when he sends out ride invites, I post them on RideForum. You may also want to subscribe, and you can...

Re: SAT NOV 26 | Chili Feed @ Dell's Powersports
I plan to ride to Dell's Powersports tomorrow to check out Dell's, shoot the breeze, and eat chili. I figure to arrive around noon. http://www.dellspowersports.com/images/DPSLogo.png When I've had my fill, I might take this 24 mile route down to Lone Jack, MO to get ice cream, a latte, or both at Ja...

Re: Open Letter to the Backroads Touring Kansas Community
Thanks, Mushman. I have not directly reached out to anyone in the BackroadsTouring community. I posted this open letter with my contact info and hope the message reaches the right people. Yeah, I got into DS at a very active time for KS, I think. We had Dave Hemphill leading rides out of the Lawrenc...

An Open Letter to the Backroads Touring Kansas Community Let's develop a path forward that best serves the local dualsport community. Re: Videos from our summer adventure to Colorado.
THANKS FOR SHARING! I love your use of a blog for the ride report--works great. I enjoyed your Day 10 on Ophir Pass https://profadv.wordpress.com/2016/09/01/day-10-ophir-pass-and-bike-repair-aug-30-2016/ I rode up the West side on my F800GS loaded heavy with camping gear.
