Blip Roasters

Met some folks at Blip Roasters in the West Bottoms a few weeks ago. It's a cool, motorcycle-themed coffee shop. http://www.bliproasters.com/ 9:30 AM every Sunday is the Blip Sunday Meetup. Folks have started calling it "Blip Sunday Church". This video shows the heart behind the store. https://youtu...

Truck Driver Saves Motorcyclist

I love this video. This guy probably saved her life by blocking traffic so she could get her motorcycle out of the middle of the freeway.

Re: Post pics or video from your ride today

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jhbHGJKJuQ OMG...carry what appears to be a very bulky package weighing 10+ lbs so that you can use 2 people to pull a motorcycle up an obstacle? All I can say is I've been riding a lot of years and in some hairy situations and have never needed this. If you can't p...

Re: Summer Motorcycle Trip

Idaho is on my bucket list. The Idaho BDR has to be some good stuff! https://ridebdr.com/IDBDR As for laptop, Creekside is correct, but laptop along for the ride is doable. I rode 5 days of NM BDR and then 8 days through CO, NM, and ID last year with my "throw-away" Lenovo Thinkpad. It's a rough & t...

Re: Post pics or video from your ride today

Looks like a yard sale there, Snowman! It's a great route considering how close to the KC metro. Glad you got out there...what a warm winter day! Weatherman told me it will be back down to 20 with single digit windchill by morning. Ugh. :crying:

Re: Dirt bikes for noobs questions

I agree with savage on the Rekluse and left-hand brake. I love my Rekluse, but I only have it because it came with my used bike. I wouldn't spend the money on it unless you start getting into really gnarly stuff a lot or if you have significant clutch hand & wrist pain. No doubt a Rekluse is amazing...

Re: Dirt bikes for noobs questions

Lower pressure off-road, of course, provides a traction advantage. The sissies I ride with tend to run 15 or less. I like to keep it closer to 20 in an effort to level the playing field somewhat. I'm that good. 8-) If I was heading out with the 350 for a dualsport that included significant 60MPH pav...

Re: The Smackdab Run

The "hook" is that you ride from the center of the 48 states to the center of North America. It's 675 miles. By definition it's a pavement ride unless you are the kind of rider who would "enjoy" a dusty butt 1000 675 miles of straight, mostly flat pavement in the Midwest . "Interesting" is probably ...
