Daryl Perry--broken ribs
...but not from riding his motorcycle. The trip had been planned for months--several guys meeting for 3 days of trail riding in Missouri's famed Chadwick ATV/Motorcycle trail system. 7:30 AM Friday morning: Daryl and I are pumped, bikes are prepped. I pick up Daryl's favorite coffee drink on the way...

I don't know Mark well, but it's obvious that riding is a major part of his life--not just a side interest. From what he's told me, I gather that his work is something that will sometimes leave him jobless for a month or more at a time. He plans and uses that time for riding. He has a nice fleet of ...

I attemped to paste the line of code but I get a window that says failed to load the route....maybe text was incomplete what am I doing wrong? I don't know. Perhaps it depends on your browser and whether it interprets the code instead of just raw displaying it? I use Firefox, and I when I click the...

Get out a paper map and a highlighter, then check out this little route. In your browser, go to: http://www.marengo-ltd.com/map/ Click the "Load" button, which will open a window to paste in some route code. Open this file, copy the code, and paste into the Marengo Route Tool. http://www.rideforum.n...

Unfortunately, we still do not have a nice. organized route library. It's still a major feature I want to develop for the site. However, look through the past ride threads in the forum. Some will have links to route files. What kind of distances are you comfortable with? 150 miles? From midtown, jus...

Epic Ride & RoadLessTraveled
I just learned about this show. I don't know if it's any good, but the premise sounds great! I've set my DVR. I missed the show tonight. :( http://www.speedtv.com/programs/483/ I've been waiting for "The Road Less Travelled" movie to come out. In the meantime, I'm on their newsletter list, and the t...

Oh crap, getting nervous now! Not to worry, David only loses on average 1.7 riders each year. Your odds of survival are pretty good. When it comes to what clothes and gear I'm going to wear for a long weekend ride adventure, I don't worry much about it until a couple days before the trip. T...

Re: Calendar
How about a calendar of events? First thing to post would be the KC Dualsport meeting in Parkville tomorrow! The Rides section is good, but a calendar would be easier to read I think. This is definitely an idea we want to bring to reality. It has been discussed at http://www.rideforum.net/viewtopic...
