Re: WABAUNSEE COUNTY 7/14 - 7/15?

Oh man....I'm gonna be out of town this weekend...but the good news is I will be riding. Mac, that is some good stuff--thanks for putting it together and inviting folks!

Regarding solo riding...it has it's advantages...and the safety disadvantages. Glad you got out OK.

I won't even ride Box Turtle anymore because of the traffic. I hear they are getting ready to widen it to a divided 4 lane with traffic lights. JUST KIDDING!

Re: Lawrence West Route – Sunday 7/8

The suspense is killing me! Where's MesaLC4 and kchusky?! :?: Check in guys--hope you are OK. I just yesterday replaced the rear wheel bearings in my 99 DR350SE. (Thanks, Safiri!) I have 14,500 miles, and they were quite shot. One of them had rust in it, and the wheel had a good deal of slop. Hopefu...

Sprockets

Would you like to touch my monkey? ....OK...that's a different "sprockets" for you classic Mike Meyers fans... I was researching sprockets and realized that the sprockets I purchased through RockyMountain ATV/MC are JT brand. The JT Sprockets website has nice reference material related to gearing an...

Re: Ride July Fourth

Not sure what the name is, but there is a bike shop in the river market and it always has DS bikes out front (employees, owners???) Usually a KLR and sometimes a GSA. Might be a good place to start if you can easily make a connection with the employees. Ian That's right..somebody told me those guys...

Good point! Actually, I think God created winter to motivate us to go ride across Australia, New Zealand, Southern Africa, or South America!

Re: Link Index

First of all, thanks for noticing it is missing. :) It is gone, and I don't have any immediate plans to restore it. It was a custom feature I built. The problem with custom features is that when you upgrade to a major upgrade of the forum system, your customizations may not be compatible. (Notice th...

Re: Ride July Fourth

Btw, notice that there is nothing motorcycle-specific about the domain name "rideforum.net". If there is enough interest, we could easily add bicycle specific forums to the system.

Re: Ride July Fourth

So did you end up riding at all? I wanted to join you, but it just wasn't in the cards for me today.

Now I'm listening to thunder, watching lightening, and seeing rain fall. I guess God is giving us his own fireworks show now. We're not worthy!

Re: New Forum Software Version

Hey Troy it looks good now that there are reply buttons. Whats wrong with riding in the rain? It's fun. :) Yeah, I kind of goofed up one of the image directory's permissions so some of the buttons did not show for about a day. Oops. Actually, I've had some great rides in the rain, but if I had my d...

First, Eddie--have a GREAT ride. You have quickly become a seasoned pro on that fine machine. I'm sure you'll have a great time. And now for a slight thread hijack...Hayden mentions talking to people...man, I could not agree more. However, in my experience, this is very hard to do when in a group of...

This is late, but Mike, my parents frequently horse camp and ride Kanopolis. The horse trails at the N end of the lake up into Horse Thief Canyon are spectacular for the area. No motorized use up there. Kyle & I tried to mountain bike it, but the trails are 8" thick powder chewed up by horse hooves-...
