Re: 2007 CHABOCHIS MOTO RALLY

I'm drooling! Thanks for posting this information. I hope some of our riders can get down there to experience this event and report back to us. I will not be able to attend this year, but I can start planning for next year....that is if I can get my passport problems figured out.

Re: AMA Toyota Motocross Championship Race from Millville, MN

WOW! It looks like the weather was fantastic. What a beautiful setting. I'm definitely jealous you got to be there. I believe I have the race on my DVR. I will burn you a DVD copy. Those guys are crazy high in those jumps. It's amazing what they can do with the right machine and that level of skill....

Yikes! Thanks for the heads up, Ian. Yeah, I noticed I can buy in for just under $100,000.00. What a bargain!

Re: Wish we had one of these in the KC area

Thanks for the link, Ian. I signed up to be kept informed about their informational meetings. I'd like to attend one. In the comments sections, I did mention the RideForum.NET community and our interest in woods trails or "enduro" style trails beyond the standard race tracks. It will be interesting ...

Re: Wish we had one of these in the KC area

I heard the straw that broke the camel's back was when a girl broke her neck in an ATV accident at Tiffany Springs and because of the required Life Flight helicopter rescue, the airport traffic had to be shutdown for an hour or more. That was more than the public was willing to deal with. So as part...

Wish we had one of these in the KC area

I wonder how long before enough people get hurt and the lawsuits force them to shutdown. Or a new housing development goes in 5 miles away and they complain about the noise and end up shutting it down. Argh. The place looks really nice. $25 for a day pass.

Re: Brake Lever Extension

I'm not really sure. I just looked at the brake pedal on my DR350, and it appears to be steel and the toe part is spring-loaded. It is connected to the brake pedal lever by a pin. So it would be possible to remove the toe part (the part that sticks out that you catch with your foot) and manufacture ...

Re: Which Garmin map to purchase???

Ajayhawkfan may be able to better answer this as he has experience with both maps. I only have TOPO. It is my understanding that the TOPO maps show trails (as you indicate) as well as more exact shore lines and details regarding state parks, etc. Most importantly, the TOPO maps show topography--go f...

Re: Which Garmin map to purchase???

ajayhawkfan knows what he is talking about. He taught me quite a bit about the Mapsource software and the various map products. I was surprised to learn that the map products are more than just maps---they each expose unique features within MapSource. For example, as ajayhawkfan pointed out, the top...
