Re: Yamaha expands its dualsport line

That 2005 would not have been street legal from factory...wouldn't I have the potential of having tagging issues. The fact it has a street title right now does not guarantee me smooth sailing...right? No turn signals..right? Would the 2005 even have a brake light switch? I know it has a tail light, ...

Yamaha expands its dualsport line

....but not enough. :? Kware told me about the 2008 WR250R http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products/modelhome/595/0/home.aspx The WR250X is a super-moto version. Despite the fact Yamaha touts the bike as using latest technology, this thing weighs even more than Kawasaki's KLX250S. http://www.kawas...

These are routes for the folks wanting the hard-core trails. http://www.rideforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=127&p=984#p984 David, if it is helpful, send your route file(s) to me, and I'll h...

Re: Off-Road Enthusiasts housing development?

Sounds cool and all but do you really want loud dirt bikes running around your house at all hrs of the day and night. Dust would be an issue also when its dry out? I suppose the community covenant could limit all toys to 92db or less. Limit riding to between 8am and sundown. Dust? The wooded trails...

Re: riding AR Sept 28-30, and eating....

What do you guys want to do for the food situation? every man for himself? If we do the every man for himself, what will probably happen is that we'll have more crap than will fit in the fridge, 10 coolers laying around, and more food than we can possibly eat. But I am open to this method...and it ...

Fun with Nigerian Scammers

So a lot of you have been asking me lately, "Troy, when you aren't riding your DR350 or running the world's most fabulous riding forum, what do you do for fun?" Good question, and one that I'm glad to answer.

Re: Sep 28-30th Arkansas Ozarks Trail Ride

KC (coming from Wichita), Daryl, & I (coming from Kansas City) plan to arrive by 9AM Fri morning. Hopefully we'll get there in time to join a group taking off for the day's ride. If not, the 3 muskateers will hit the trails. Don't wait around for us longer than you want to. We plan to start home som...

Re: Going South ride, insearch of?????

Most likely, I will not be able to join you, but... For what it's worth guys, here is a route I've been working on. It's Franklin & Miami Counties. The route is not done, but it is a mostly complete loop. It is long, though. Right now, it is 180 miles. I plan to turn it into several smaller sections...

Re: RideForum Logo

Of course we could change the bike to a motorbike, the rider to a baby with a knife stabbing a flaming skull.... I thought about that, but how can you make it obvious that the skull is a baby? Perhaps if the flaming skull has a pacifier in it's teeth? This is going to be great when our forum...

Re: RideForum Logo

I'm vetoing the skull and crossbones before it even starts. :D I don't really want to associate our backroad and trail adventures with death and/or destruction and/or evil. I'm silly like that. Although a logo that incorporates a baby with a knife through it's head would be kick-ass. Baby-killing. S...

Greg, you got some mad skeelz. Btw, I worked for a company where Multivac was our biggest competitor. If you are willing to help out, yeah, you got the greenlight--you are good, and sounds like you understand what I want. Thanks!

Re: AR Fall Ride again? Sep 28-30th

The first event we did--which was also the largest, Sean had 3 nights catered--and the food was fantastic. The problem with catering, though, is you have pressure to be back to the cabin by a deadline--or at least SOMEBODY needs to be there to let the caters drop the food off and collect payment. Da...

Let me know if you need any help with logo design. That's my line of work and I'd be happy to put one together. YES! I would like a RideForum.NET logo!
