DR435

More ramblings from Troy... The DR350 is WEAK! WEAK I tell you! I've got about 16,000 miles on her and the last 9K were added by me in the last 2 years. Most of those miles could be classified as "abusive". (Again, sabotaging myself if I ever plan to sell this bike. DOH! ) T...

Re: How about leaving work a little early and riding today?

Holy Cow, Eddie! The "road" to the farm is even named after your family on the map. That is some nice country there.

So...do you know the history of that BEAUTIFUL stone barn that is just a bit N of Farley and can be seen from Hwy 45. It is on the E side of 45.

Re: 11/4 River Road, Leavenworth to Atchison

Fatburg & I meant to hook up with guys in Leavenworth or Atchison, but plans got modified a bit after church. We ended up leaving KC around 2pm I think and hit the River Rd. We hit that small quarry, and I thought I saw fresh motorcycle tracks! Glad you guys had fun, too! Btw, the entrance to the sm...

Re: Looking for a rugged camera

Looks like a nice little camera Bro. It even comes in KTM orange, Suzuki yellow, and Yamaha blue...sorry, doesn't look like they have Honda red!! Let me know how it works out for you, I'm due for a new camera myself. All they had in stock was the Kawasaki green, but I really like the color of it, s...

Re: Looking for a rugged camera

I think I found my small, relatively inexpensive, rugged camera! I just came home with an Olympus Stylus 790 SW . Check out the Stylus SW lineup: http://www.olympusamerica.com/cpg_section/cpg_digital_sw.asp The 790 SW is "shockproof to 5 feet on concrete", "waterproof to 10 feet", "freeze-proof", an...

Re: Rulo, NE for Catfish and Pie 11/3

Oh man, this would be a great one to fit my Doniphan Co route into. Here is one option. You'll need probably 4 hours to make this one way, but it'a good stuff. Only part I'm unsure of is if you can actually ride the Levee Rd in the upper right part of this route. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...

Re: How about leaving work a little early and riding today?

I road some gravel around Farley... The gravel roads are disappearing fast in that area! They've already paved two of my favorites up there. They make great sport bike roads now. I detoured at Wyandotte County Lake on the way home because I enjoy riding the curves around the lake. That is a beautif...

Re: Oxtar boots below cost

When I first got into dualsport riding 3 years ago, Rusty spent about an hour and a half with me helping me pick out appropriate gear. (Not that he didn't have an incentive!) At that time, he recommended the Oxtar Infinity boot to me. I'm still wearing them and I love them. I've beaten the crap out ...

Re: Triple Dam Ride - SE KS!

Troy, I bought a 97 dr350 all stock except acerbis tank. Any tips for mods. would be appreciated. I wondered if you were going to get yourself another small dualsport after selling your KTM! Good for you! The DR350 guru is Jesse Kientz. You can just call him and he'll spend an hour on the phone wit...

Re: Ozark Fall Colors Tour Next Weekend Last Minute Invite

kchusky, glad to hear you got to do the Brock Creek stuff. Yeah, that's a bit of a drive from the Clarksville FCT group. Too far to just swing by for dinner when there's good riding to be had! When I rode Brock Creek, the single-track was brand new, and I found it to be more than I wanted--that is, ...

One Chance to Win - moto movie

Kware shared this with me, and I want to pass it along -- looks like another must-own movie. Should be available on DVD starting Nov 5, 2007. http://www.onechancetowin.com/trailer.php The famous "Battle of New Orleans" as never told before! The 500cc National Motocross Series of 1975 came down to th...
