Cool. I usually want to bring my guitar along for some porch pickin', but after I pack the truck with all my riding gear, there aint room left.

...she says that she probably wont ride unless her girly men are there for her to ride with again. The Girly-Men will ride again! Seriously, I don't know how many times you both apologized for having Sandy "hold us back". I'm telling you, there is nothing we didn't ride because of her and we never ...

Re: New bike for Troy? DR350SE for sale?

I think I learned the wrong lesson back then too. Good story! Actually, you learned some even better lessons: 1. Work smarter, not harder 2. Even if the answer is probably "no", ask--you may get a "yes" 3. Enter data once, use it multiple times 4. It's not that school is all that bad, it's just the...

...I was sick of "ctrl-v, enter, repeat." WHAT?! You mean you didn't actually type that out each time?! Well then that post was worthless! There is no discipline value in Copy & Paste. You gotta actually type it out line by line for the lesson to sink in. I have decided that I will only allow 5 tes...

Re: New bike for Troy? DR350SE for sale?

As for the husky you are going to let me ride, if the stains are clear, it is drool - if they are milky white... well it will have been a damn fine ride indeed. You get one ticket for a test ride. Just like at the gym, though, you are responsible for wiping your own sweat, drool, whatever else off ...

Re: April 3-6, 2008: April Fool's Ride in Arkansas!

I am actually up for a 25-30 mile night loop... Sounds like fun, but....from my experience, I give the ride my all during the day. By the time I get back to the lodge, I'm ready to shower up, eat, and relax before getting to bed to rest up for the next great day of riding. I wrote a song about it. ...

Re: April 3-6, 2008: April Fool's Ride in Arkansas!

The "official" routes have been posted for download in the first post ! We are basically full at the lodge. We have 35 riders signed up with 32 of them claiming a bed. (3 are providing their own lodging) What I have reserved right now is every property except 2 tiny options. What we have now offers...

Today's newsletter from the RLT team says the "Final Trailer is completed". Here it is:

Now they are out pitching their mini-series to find a home for the show. I look forward to watching this thing someday.

Devro, YOUR WELCOME! Looking forward to meeting you and the others. Two years ago, us OH boys were in the big "Star" cabin, We'd be happy to do that again,,, should we reserve that ourselves or is there still room in the Main lodge? I reserved the entire place...with the ability to only pay for what...

Good one, T! Btw, you are supposed to notice Daryl on his Husky---it will require you to take your focus off that sweet DR350 in the photo. Man that thing looks good. Not sure I did the right thing. ;)

You and I will be riding together in the "Girly Men" group, Hank, but I just found your comment funny considering this photo of you from last year's Fall Ozarks ride! Hmmm..is that you....riding a wheelie....up a hill? ...

Our count is up to 33 riders with 30 for the lodging. This makes the lodging almost full unless we start bringi...

Re: New bike for Troy? DR350SE for sale?

Actually, the old, high-flow toilets are in demand. People sneak them across the border from Canada just to have a toilet that works better. All fun and games, though...yeah, the old DR was not exactly a high-performance machine. Reliable--no doubt. Fun--no doubt. 8) So I can see we'll be having at ...

Dual Sport Riding Techniques DVD

I just watched "Dual Sport Riding Techniques" from http://www.dualsportriding.com/. I thought the DVD was VERY well made and the instruction was clear. I have to be honest and admit that I really need to work on good technique. I've been injured twice in the last 18 months while riding. Both of them...

Whoa! Thanks, Jim! And normally, I'd want to take you up on that. My only bike is at Flatland Racing in Emporia for some prototyping, and I've got plans already--since I knew I'd be bikeless. It will be muddy no doubt! Have fun, and thanks again for the invite.

Re: 450/525 EXC KTM's

Do you guys run a fan on the radiator? have you rewound the stator? Any problems running the battery flat if the fan runs alot. I imagine you can jet it a little fat to get it to run cooler. I wouldn't ever run any heated grips or a hardwired GPS. The only electrical demand would be the lights and ...
