Re: Riding in the Big Woods

What a fantastic ride, Eddie! I finished looking at all the photos--thanks for sharing. (I like on Picasa as you click a photo, you can see on the map where the photo was taken.) Thanks for not sharing any photos from your time at the Gay Bar. What you do on your own time.... When you told me you pr...

Re: Milford 8.23.08....................

Yeah, Mike....thanks for inviting US!!! :D Good point, KC! Slimtrader, what were YOU doing at School Creek without inviting us?! I wish Erin a speedy recovery so she can "get back on the horse" :!: Glad Erin's arm is not broken. She actually did break her arm falling off a horse, though, she told m...

Re: Never go down a hill that you can't ride up!

I suppose it can be hard to judge from the photos, but I don't have much sympathy for those guys. I sure as heck would not have attempted to ride down into that. That said....Hayden is correct except he has the people wrong. I have had one experience in Arkansas where I did in fact ride down somethi...

Re: Milford 8.23.08....................

Mike, Brian, Larry, & I had a great ride! It sure was hot by the time we loaded up around 3pm, though. Too bad Kyle had to bail before the ride even got started. Terry, we wondered what happened to you!

This really is exciting, Bill! I'm rooting for you despite the fact you suggested my picture could be used as a dart board. 8)

Re: Dualsports in JoCo

I'm in Prairie Village (75th and Mission)! How far south in OP are you? Currently living at 159th & Metcalf. Building a house at 159th & Antioch with hopes to move in around Jan, 2009. Will, that guy on that green KLR is whacked! I've seen a KLR in the area--not sure if it was you. When I see a KLR...

Re: Anyone riding down south 8/16?

Thanks, Will! So would you say there are enough trails there to keep a rider happy for a half day of play? I imagine it's a relatively small trail area. $7.50 for a day (7 day pass) is not cheap, but I'd pay it for some fun trail riding. Garnett is about far enough away to make for a really long and...

Re: Anyone riding down south 8/16?

Ride report ! My search took me to Garnett and Cedar Valley Lake. The ATV trails on the south side of the lake were steep, heavily treed, narrow and rocky. At one point it took four tries to make a long climb out of dry creek up a stone/dirt path. I think this spot is Eddie proof ! Backin...

Dualsports in JoCo

I recently moved to South Overland Park in Johnson County. That's right, I'm now officially a JoCo snob. Well, I guess it's not official if/until I get a Lexus or BMW SUV. I've seen a lot of dualsports running around down here. I did not really expect that. When I see them, I always wonder, "...

Re: Anyone riding down south 8/16?

Hey, Will. I just wanted to let you know that I've got family in town this Sun, but would have enjoyed a spin down South with you. My brother built a min-maint route and explored in Greenwood Co. He found some really cool stuff!

Re: Riding in the Big Woods

Today is my birthday, and now that I have my V-Strom, I have the right bike to join you, Eddie. That would be a wonderful birthday present--to be loaded up and heading out for an adventure on 2 wheels. Doh! That work thing keeps getting in the way.

I'll check in on you via SPOT. Have a great time!

Regular Motorcycle Rides This is simply a thread to document the various regular biker events that are within any reasonable riding distance of our members. Some of these rides I have first hand experience with or have reliable information. Many, however, are simply things I found searching the Int...
