Re: Arkansas Iron Butt 500?
You guys probably already know this about me, but I'd rather do 150 miles of really interesting stuff taking my time to enjoy some breaks, photos, cool waterfalls, etc. Not that this idea does not sound fun!

Re: Happy Holidays from the country!
Hummm that suit looks tempting. What size did you get troy? Did you order it or go down and try it on? Maybe time to update the old Joe Rocket stuff as my pants are about shot. Size Large fits me like it was tailored for me. I am 5' 11" and about 180 lbs. Yes, I went into the store and tried it on....

Happy Holidays!
I have ridden to work every day for the last 2.3 weeks. I only have a 15 minute commute. I purchased a Fieldsheer Highlands II suit at www.motorcyclecloseouts.com and WOW does this thing keep you warm. I'm quite cozy riding to work--even at 21 degrees.

Happy Thanksgiving, all. Xrnut, you are right--we have a lot to be thankful for. Mike, looks like you had a great time and took advantage of the great Thanksgiving Day weather.
I enjoyed time with family and friends in Wichita. Heading back home in the morning.

Fieldsheer Highland II Suit
I just bought one of these suits at http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com last week. I tried it out today by riding to work, and I LOVE it! Rusty bought all of these that were left, and now he is about sold out. I think this suit is a fantastic deal at $199. http://www.motorcyclecloseouts.com/hot+deals...

ONe thing you need to add to your list Troy. We need to band together as off roaders. I have jeeps, fourwheelers, and dirtbikes and the riff between the three is stupid. United we stand! You are correct, so I did. I made it the FIRST point. I've had a few insights into this subject. There are some ...

Re: Tiffany Springs Park
ajayhawkfan, good point. So although I might see a 500 acre plot of wasting land containing an abandoned strip mining operation, there could be zoning regulations that would prevent the land from being used for off-road riding. It's the man. I hate that guy. tp, to make sure what I described is clea...

Re: Tiffany Springs Park
They originally planned 6 public meetings. The first 3 were targeted directly at the off-road communities--to understand what types of off-road use people want. They did their research on these off-road uses and built a matrix of use compatibilities and feasibilities for the space. The last 3 schedu...

Re: Trail Tools
I carry comfortable running shoes. But seriously I need to get more organized with my ride tools. I liked the small air pump marketed by slime that Kyle carries. It is probably smaller than a co2 kit and plugs into a 12v plug. It is not smaller than a Co2 kit, but it is small. I carry a Co2/hand pu...

Mine is a 650, Nobiman's is a DL1000. Nobiman (Randy & Sandy) rides 2 up and loves it--and Randy is a big guy. I've only done short, local trips with my wife on board. For perspective, I weigh 180 and she is about 115. With just the 2 of us and no luggage but an empty Givi on the tail, the DL650 fee...

That fog was a bitch! Lasted over half-way to Golden City. After that, it was SO BEAUTIFUL to ride!
Just got home. Fuhgawee (AdvRider handle) and I had a really good ride and a fantastic lunch. Too many pies to try them all, but the rhubarb and pumpkin were quite fine!

Re: Sat Nov 1, Golden City, MO, Cook's Cafe
NO on the Plaza Latte Land. My apologies if this gets confusing for anyone trying to decide whether to come along or not, but like I said, this came together last minute. At this point, it is likely that some riders will meet at the QT at Hwy 69 & 151st (SE corner) at about 9AM. Yeah, in about 75 mi...

Sat Nov 1, Golden City, MO, Cooky's Cafe
This is VERY LAST MINUTE, but many times, that's just how I roll. So keep up! It's not certain who (if anybody) is going to come along, but the plan is to ride to Golden City, MO to eat lunch and pie at Cooky's Cafe. This came about as a result of a thread on AdvRider titled, Great Midwestern Pie Hu...
