Re: I got in! Shane Watts Dirtwise school

This looks like something I would love to sign up for. If you are serious, you can give Megan a call at (828) 465-4181 -- she is Shane's administrative assistant. The class that was supposed to happen in October was completely full with a waiting list. When Shane got hurt, I was given the option of...

Re: I got in! Shane Watts Dirtwise school

Unbelievable! Shane has already healed enough to teach two of his Dirtwise schools and is feeling good! I got the call yesterday that Shane plans to do his Warrensburg class Fri & Sat, June 11 & 12. I'm signed up. Shane plans to race the Enduro there the following day--Sunday, June 13th. Stu, you'll...

Re: Bored & Snowbound

Supposed to drive my wife, her sister, and my kid to Wichita yesterday. We got as far as Gardner before encountering ice on I35 and several cars in the ditch with highway patrol everywhere. So we gave up. This morning, we found our cat near death so spent the morning at the emergency vet. Wheee! We ...

Re: Out for a while....

Before you head into surgery, be sure to use a permanent marker to write "DO NOT CUT" on your tally-whacker. Mistakes happen! We gave this same advice to safiri before his recent hernia surgery. It worked because all reports indicate the tally-whacker is intact. The "wiping crew"....hmmm.....me thin...

Re: Freeman Off-Road Resort in Missouri

...and the website looks good! Thanks! That one picture on the website of the bike in the watercrossing, isn't that bike in deep enough to have water getting into the airbox? I hate to even think about if he went down... That was my brother, Kyle, on his DRZ400. Believe it or not, he did not drown ...

Re: Freeman Off-Road Resort in Missouri

That looks like a great place for a get together for a small group. Are you planning a spring outing at a time that it will not be flooding down there? I do not have any plans currently--I don't get serious about my spring ride plan until February--so we'll see! As for flooding, Mother Nature is a ...

SoundOffMc.com

Came across this today. Good stuff. I know my TE450 is stupid loud (my buddies keep ripping me about it). I am researching effective (and cost-effective) ways to reduce my dB.

Freeman Off-Road Resort in Missouri

I've ridden here, and it was one of the best riding experiences I've ever had. (I also just completed his website.)

You may or may not notice, but today I made a tiny improvement so links in posts actually look like links. They were not underlined and the same color as the text. Now they are dark red and underlined.

Re: Winter Ride to view Bald Eagles

Thanks, Dave, for the recap, the memory, and sharing with everyone. Thanks a lot. Eddie, I'd love to join you on this trip. Bald Eagles are delicious! And now that they are off the endangered species list, I don't have to sneak around as much. http://www.cnn.com/2007/TECH/science/06/28/bald.e...

The First, Last Race

http://www.j2entertainment.com/

This documentary movie was released in 2009 best I can tell. Can anyone figure out how to actually obtain a copy?

I can find trailer videos and reviews and IMDB info, but nowhere to rent, purchase, or download.

Re: Forum Header Photos

Hey Troy, Some of those pictures had to be taken at Chadwick, Missouri.... Right ? I think I know where a couple of them are located at.... As always, good job Troy. Thanks for the praise. Actually, none of those photos are from Chadwick. I've only had one ride at Chadwick, and that only lasted abo...

Re: Forum Header Photos

Thanks, Curado! OK, so when I said I might setup an auto header image rotater someday. Turns out that day is today. As of right now, every 10 minutes, the image will be randomly selected from all available images. As I add more into the folder, they'll be automatically added into the rotation. Yes, ...

Forum Header Photos

Some of you may have noticed the changing photos at the top of the forum. Those of you that have been around for most of the forum's history will recall the auto-rotating photos I had in place at one time. I may set that up again, but for now, I have created 10 header images that I'll rotate at my w...

WARNING: Serious geek talk in this next paragraph: Over a year ago, I "soft-modded" an old XBOX (the original XBOX that can be picked up on craigslist for under $50) and turned it into an XBOX Media Center (http://xbmc.org/). Last night, I installed PlayOn (http://www.playon.tv/playon/) on my Windo...
