Re: Moving to Minnesota!
 No, Mike. You are not allowed to move. You have to clear all moves with the RideForum gang--you KNOW that! While I know it's possible we'll get to ride together again after you move, the reality is, we may never see you again, and that makes me sad. I love having your easy-going attitude and g...

...They had no loading ramps or even a board to get my bike in the truck. I found a solution. That's using your noodle! Did they actually stick around to help you load it? Or did you walk your bike along the curb and over your cases by yourself? (I am ASSUMING you did not RIDE your bike into the pi...

Re: Heading to Texas
Eddie, I don't know what the weather South of KC is like, but in KC right now, it's not as horrid as predicted. For my morning drive to work, I had 31 degrees, light slush (not ice) on neighborhood street, and just wet highway (not ice). Basically--similar conditions to our 3 day ride a few weeks ag...

Zero electric motorcycle offroad in Colorado
Got this from Zero: Hello, The Outdoor Channel selected Zero Motorcycles for the popular series "Ride to Adventure Extreme." The upcoming episode takes place in Colorado where a group of off-road riders climb to over 13,000 feet on one of the toughest backcountry passes in the state. It's showing at...

Re: Looking for a DOT knobby
There is no end to tire discussions. The D606 is a really safe bet and holds up well. I keep trying other tires and coming back to the D606. I figure rather than nick-pickin' about what tires I use I should focus on actually learning how to ride my motorcycle! One thing I can tell you is this: I've ...

Just for posterity.... I hadn't marked the file for sharing from the web server. Re: possum creek trail
Know the rd well, and I already posted about it in response to Mac's Hillbilly Dualsport post...but...yeah a DR650 with 50/50 tires and a good rider could go up it. Sections would be an enjoyable challenge. I've actually never ridden it uphill--always down, and I know from going down that it's darn ...

Re: Hillbilly Dualsport ride
Yeah, I get a 408 Error when I try to access that link. Hey, Mac, you know you can also upload the files directly to the forum. Just edit your post and add a file upload. That Possum Creek road/trail is really a Jeep Rd. I've seen a regular looking 4WD truck go up it. That said, it would be a bugger...

Hmmm....just OK? I see that the domain "ridegood.com" is taken, but "ridegreat.com" is available. A website at ridegreat.com would be way more awesomer than rideok.com.

Man, I'd love to attend this...with earplugs of course. I got family in this weekend that will probably prevent me from attending. Here is a link to get some tickets for the price of having them mailed to you, but act fast.

BlueRibbon Coalition Code of Ethics
Most of you probably know this code and it rings true with your personal philosophy. Many of you are already Blue Ribbon Coalition members. I was reading the January 2010 issue of their magazine and was reminded of their Code of Ethics. It's always good to review, remember, and share these with our ...

I've done the Flinthills Stampede before---in fact, many of the photos at the posted link are mine. It's a good time and a great bunch of folks.
Unfortunately, this is the same weekend as the Shane Watt's Dirtwise 2-day school I'm signed up for.

Re: Just what every bike needs
 Sheesh! Get a freakin' car if that's what you want! I'd also like to point out that the main photo at top featuring a DL650 Vstrom is ridiculous because everybody knows Vstrom riders are the toughest mofo riders out there. We don't need no stinkin' climate control! 8) http://www.rideforum.net...
