note the tracks were no longer in use. I did not even see ties between the rails. These guys put the suspension to the limits on those jumps!

ICON Short Film featuring 2 Tiger 800XCs

OK, so this 30 minute video is CHEESY, but man I wish I could ride like this! I popped some popcorn and watched this on the big screen last night. I'm continually reminded these bikes can do so much more than many of us realize. Thanks for sharing this with me, Luc! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aT...

I'm guessing most folks who start out on the journey to become hang-glider certified don't live long enough to finish that dream.

Room reservations-there are 3 motels in Ozark...I just called 2 of them and they both indicated that as of now they have a lot of rooms available. Ozark Inn-$55 single and $60 double...Oxford Inn-$69 for all rooms. Clarksville has about 8 motels and I called a Best Western and they indicated all ro...

So far, we don't have an "official" lodging place for Thur night because not very many folks plan to come down Thur night. Randy & I, at least, are going down BCOD Fri morning. (Butt Crack Of Dawn)

Re: October ride

James and I spent last weekend tuning up both the bikes and the trailer. Also, it looks like we'll be heading down on Friday afternoon instead of early Saturday morning. Our new plan is to meet up with the group on Friday evening in Ozark(AR), and be ready to ride Saturday morning. Excellent! Glad ...

Re: October ride

I updated the first post with minor details...the main thing is we now have an official starting place where we can park our trucks and trailers. I sent a PM with details to those of you that have shown serious interest in this thread. If you need the address, and I did not already send it to you, P...

Ditto. Just like years past....if the forecast does not predict ice-covered roads, I'm probably IN.

-25 lbs of crap in your top box is too much. At least for me. Yes, but Andy was prepared for most anything! He had all kinds of tools and spare parts along including a multi-meter and spare spark plug. I'm surprised he did not have a spare CDI unit in that box! In Andy's defense, the ride was...

Some of you might enjoy these pics from a previous ride at the Freeman Off-road Resort. This was an off-road ride.

Re: Sep 22, 2012: Mark Twain Dualsport

Something on a KLR broke and could not be fixed with duct tape or bailing wire? Never heard such a thing. That's not far from the truth. The KLR's simple, rugged design is one of the things that make it such a great dualsport machine. We had 5 guys and one is a seasoned motorcycle mechanic. We spen...

Andy & I had a GREAT TIME! ...but I'll let Andy list the items he broke on his KLR650! I've never seen someone break so many things on their bike in 1/2 mile! What was supposed to be an easy dualsport ending up taking us down a relatively rough "road" after the first 30 miles of easy forest ...

Re: Sept 23rd anyone want to ride with a newb in or around C

DonG, thanks for posting up about your ride and the photos. What a great day to ride! Just road riding--I like to put closer to 30 PSI in--especially if a lot of pavement. Your tires will last a lot longer at higher PSI. When off-road (not gravel roads--OFF-road), I like about 15 and no more than 20...

Rocktoberfest?

I'm not too worried, but apparently the weekend before Halloween (our weekend) is traditionally "Octoberfest" or "Rocktoberfest" at Disney. Information is sporadic and almost nothing exists talking about a 2012 event. This indicates that some folks, at least, are going someplace other than Disney: h...

Hey, DonG. Sorry for the late reply--I meant to follow-up sooner. Yeah...what these guys said. In short--no worries! Go ride. For basic gravel road riding, the only supplies you really need are water to drink and gas in the tank. As far as protective gear, helmet is minimum of course. Guys worry abo...
