Re: I could not help myself. I'm a weak man.

To clarify, because it's not apparent that this is clear to all, the KTM Freeride 350 looks like this: http://www.ktm.com/uploads/tx_ktmproduct/350_Freeride_90Grad_01.jpg This image below is just one designers artistic mock-up of a redesign for the bike. http://static.stayontheblack.com/uploads/2012...

Your klx400 should be good there I have ridden my KLR 650 there many times.
Dude...that post from David was from 2006! That KLX400 has been sold twice since then. :)

Re: Dyna beads

Thank you Troy, you were most helpful. I'm asking for a co-worker who is considering them for his cruiser. If anyone besides Troy wants to weigh in, please do. How was I supposed to know that there is actually a wheel-balancing product with the same name as a girl I used to date? Furthermore, I was...

Re: I could not help myself. I'm a weak man.

Wow, that’s cool. I have been toying with the idea of replacing my DRZ with one or the other. My next question was going to be how you decided between the two, having ridden both, but Stu seems to have covered the differences pretty good. Since you were able to find a used one, that would factor in...

Re: Dyna beads

I'm not sure what you mean exactly by "experience", but I dated Dyna Beads for a couple of weeks back in 1988. We didn't get to "know" each other, if you know what I mean, but I thought she was a nice gal. I found her to be a little high maintenance, and in the end, we weren't really compatible so i...

Re: newbie

Welcome! What bike to get...a debate that will go on forever. As an owner of a Vstrom 650 for 2 years I feel qualified to provide some feedback. I loved my Vstrom, and like most all the motorcycles I've owned, it would still be in my garage if space and money were unlimited. The Vstrom really is a "...

Re: I used to love riding in the snow when I was young

It really looks tall. What is the seat height on that thing. Didn't realize your legs were that long. Touching the ground is for sissies. In all seriousness, riding a dirt bike in snow-covered field is a blast. Slick pavement and/or ice not so much, but a snow-covered field is really, really fun to...

Re: I could not help myself. I'm a weak man.

Kendall is right--my 350 will never look as good as his in that pic. Although mine only has 20 hours on it, it somehow look like it has a few hundred hours on it through mud and rocks. So I don't get to enjoy that "new" bike feeling. Oh well, I was going to destroy the thing on my first real ride an...

Re: I used to love riding in the snow when I was young

Since I bought my 350 EXC-F, I decided to setup my old 450 for the winter. Had a blast!

OK...not mine. Just a pic I stole.

Crap! I just realized I can't go because the ride conflicts with another event I'm already committed to that weekend. I've had this on my calendar for almost a year, and am really looking forward to it! Should be a blast!

Careful, Randy--that is strike 1. If you are not a real motorcycle rider, maybe you need to find another forum.

Re: 4th Annual Winter Bald Eagle Ride, January 18-21, 2013

A few winters ago I rode to work a lot. My commute is about 15 minutes. I wore my insulated Fieldsheer suit and heavy winter gloves, but not any heated gear. I was always quite comfortable. So when I signed up to do the Eagle Ride, I thought, "no problem". Turns out there is a big difference between...

Re: Clean Speed Eng Brake Lever - KTM 690?

I of course welcome your post, Mike, but do realize that the RideForum community is relatively small. I think a total of 2 out of our 295 members own a KTM 690, and you are one of those 2. :)

Perhaps KTMTalk would be a better place to ask. :)
