Re: Outrider Journal: New Dualsport/Adventure Mag

Really late follow-up to this thread. Outrider Journal is no more. They folded after only 2 issues. I was sad about this because the 2 issues I received were BEAUTIFUL and high quality. The magazine was very professionally designed with great photos and articles. Unfortunately, it's a tough time to ...

Re: Frequent errors

Thanks for the kind thoughts, Bob and Eddie! No worries. The issues aren't a big deal, and I've made a change that might solve the problem. Time will tell. This forum is a labor of love and really has never been a burden to operate. My monthly cost for the tech that runs this forum is < $10. (Thanks...

Frequent errors

Some of you--especially you frequent flyers--may have noticed the forum down with an error page lately. This has been an issue for many months, but has increased in frequency lately. Twice today already. I just want to let you all know I'm aware of it and may have a solution to implement--thanks to ...

And....a 10 minute "movie" can be viewed on YouTube in full 1080P HD glory.

I messed up the title sequence--first time using new movie making software and I was tired with limited time...so suck it. 8)

Love that photo! Captured her with a big grin, too! Glad you guys survived and even had a little fun! Notice the jacket. Troy, after your thread about the BILT Explorer Jacket she went over and checked them out because all she had was a mesh riding jacket. It was a wise purchase for this trip. Funn...

Re: Over $600 for a Garmin 60CSX?!

On the surface, the 62 seems to be a good, logical 60CSX replacement. But I hear about issues with it's tracking accuracy that worry me. A primary function of my 60CS is to produce an accurate breadcrumb when I ride off-road trails. http://blog.hendricksen.eu/2010/08/22/comparison-between-garmin-gps...

Re: Over $600 for a Garmin 60CSX?!

Hmmm...so I've been not willing to think about any brand other than Garmin because I figure it's what motorcycle riders know, I know their software, I want to be compatible, they are a local company here in KC, etc. BUT....at the same time I keep bitching about their hardware, software, maps, prices...

Over $600 for a Garmin 60CSX?!

WTF?! $640 for a 60CSX.

http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-GPSMAP-60C ... ords=60CSX

When did the 60CSX get this expensive? It better come with 4 $100 bills in the battery compartment. :x

Re: GPS Tools

I'm SOLD on using http://www.RideWithGPS.com to build tracks. Wow is it good. Really good. Click on roads and track line is drawn and snaps to road Each time you click to create a new point, the map re-centers so you don't have to keep dragging the map to keep creating your track. (Or at least not a...

Re: BILT Explorer Jacket

I see Kendall wised up and deleted that obviously photo-shopped photo that made it look like I actually crashed my F800GS in deep gravel. Of course none of you would believe that. It's just ludicrous.

Re: GPS Tools

I've used this once before too, seems to work pretty well: http://www.wikiloc.com/trails/motorcycling It does not appear that this is a tool to CREATE and EDIT GPS data. It looks like a place to share data. I am interested in that, too, but my focus is to find a great tool to actually REPLACE BaseC...
