Re: Mentors WANTED: Father & Son Dirt Bike Adventures
It was interesting to watch the feelings of apprehension turn to "this is really fun". Ditto. One boy started out kind of negative about even trying. After his first few awkward laps on the little 110, he took a break and mentioned that he wanted to go home. However, after another 30 minutes on the...

Re: Mentors WANTED: Father & Son Dirt Bike Adventures
Father, son, & daughter. It was a very good day. It was the son's 2nd time on a dirt bike, and the 8 year old daughter's first time....she rode that 50 on the trails like a pro.

It's all about the kids...should it be?
Let me throw a grenade...In another thread... ...but I need to attend my [kid's] soccer game... Based on my unscientific research of the last several years, this is the #1 excuse to miss a ride (or anything else). I like soccer. I can clearly see the benefits of involving children in team sports (ex...

I am confident that the swingarm that the wheel is bolted between will prevent the wheel from falling off. Thank you for your concern.ajayhawkfan wrote:I hope your wheel does not fall off.

Re: May 2-4: TAR Spring Ride
Some of you may recall a conversation/argument about whether the rear wheel on my 2007 KTM 450 EXC had a snap ring holding one of the rear bearings in. I think one person even suggested that the stock does but that the upgrade kits have larger bearings and thus you no longer use the clip. Bingo. Min...

Re: May 2-4: TAR Spring Ride
I noticed in my video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vg7JI2Hs8GQ), when Kramer went fast into the slick Frog Bayou crossing, I said, "Randy went into that way too fast in my opinion." I'm not used to Randy on that Husky, and father & son wore similar colors. Sorry for the mistake! SLOW DOWN, Krame...

Re: Adam Riemann | motology Films
Uh, yeah. It was actually a KTM 500, but that's real similar to a KLR650. I see how easy it would be to make that mistake.Savage wrote:I watched part of the video on my phone so I couldn't see it the best, but was that a KLR650 he was riding? Amazing what those bikes can do!

Re: Pee Wee Adventures
Wow -- that CRF 100 looks really clean. You got lucky! Kids look great on their bikes. It's only a tiny bit tall for your son, but he's getting talented on the bike fast, and I'm sure he'll grow another inch or 2 before the year is over. Well done!

Very close to perfect for the 3 days, Except for the last 30 minutes when Scott body surfed Fly Gap Road. I heard Scott was dazed, but OK. Scott, how you doing? I did not take a lot of photos, but I do have some and some good video to share. It can take me a bit of time to go through those and post ...

To all my riding friends...suck it! Sucking...one of the many actions I cannot do yet until I am medically cleared...and since half of my face doesn't work, it makes drinking a messy affair. I bring extra shirts (plural) to work each day in case I drizzle water down my front  I have been promi...

Re: May 2-4: TAR Spring Ride
Important Note about my Sat1 track (not that any of you plan to follow it or me) There is a great section of trail that we'll need to avoid as it will be Turkey season for AR Zone 2. (Perhaps I should have looked this up sooner.) http://www.agfc.com/hunting/Pages/HuntingTurkeyDates.aspx The bit of ...
