Will there be a creek bed you can fall into? Because that's really the deciding factor here

I'm not much of a calendar guy....
But, our accountant goes out every year and buys everyone a calendar for their office based on what they like, last year, she got me a calendar about Adventure Motorcycling, this year, she did not disappoint with the 2014 edition. You can get your own, here: Adventure Motorcycle Calendar It's a pret...

Moto Shipping
Anyone have any recommendations for a company to ship their bike? I've got a quote into MotorcycleMoving.net, but, that was a week ago, and still haven't heard anything, so, just looking for alternatives.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: OpenDNS Home - safe browsing for the kids (and you)
I use OpenDNS here at work as a second form of content filtering along with other Network Appliances and I quite like it, it's quick and easy to set up and does a pretty good job of keeping the evil at bay. Or, in my case, keeping people from shopping on eBay and reading the FaceBooks all day.

Nick Sanders - The Fastest Man Around the World...
Has a newish book, at least newish enough that they sent me an email reminder about it. If you're looking for a good read, you can't go wrong reading any of Nick's stuff. The books are reasonably priced, but, it's the shipping from the UK that gets you. Books are £9.99 and £12.00 shipping (or $36.11...

Re: A little thanks
Four weeks out, giving or taking a day, and I am pretty much back to normal. Still a little sore in the mornings, but, it usually works itself out throughout the day. I sneezed yesterday and didn't feel like I was going to die, so, I'm going to call that a bit of a win. From taking about 2 pain pill...

Due to my accident back in October, I too will have to bail as I have zero vacation days remaining until May. May. And, unless something changes with the vacation policy here at work, I may, in fact, be in vacation deficit at this point.

Re: V strom skid plate
I might buy the Touratech just for the parts being included to re-position the oil-cooler. Plus, it looks pretty sweet and tucked in much tighter to the bike.

Re: V strom skid plate
I second Rycomm's endorsement of the SW Motech skid plate. If I had one complaint on it, and this is probably true for any skid plate, is that the mounting bracket and the bolts there of, at least on mine, are exposed (the bolts) and if you happen to hit something you shouldn't, right on the bolt, s...

A little thanks
I'd like to interrupt your normal sort of programming and take a minute, if I may, in offering a bit of thanks to those that lent me a much needed hand in my time of need. I have a hazy sort of time-lapsed memory of the afternoon, and while I would love to thank everyone by name that rose up and cam...

Re: Talimena National Scenic Byway
Yes it was. This was my second attempt at riding down in the Ouachita National Forest and it did not disappoint. I only fell over twice! I call that a win in my book. While there were a few bikes out there cruising the Scenic Highway, there was not a lot of traffic for such a beautiful day of riding...

SG4 Navigation App
I have a buddy of mine here at work who has an SG4, she's into hunting and fishing and what not. She was wondering if there was a navigation app for her phone, that would let her drop custom waypoints (deer stands, favorite places to fish, etc.) with the app so she can find them again. I am not fami...

Re: Post pics or video from your ride today
I wish I took more pics when riding, but, I so oft get in the spirit of just riding around, that I really just want to see what's around the next bend, or down that road, so, I forget and just sort of adventure on. I'm sure it has something to do with the line of the road drawing your eye to the hor...

Re: Post pics or video from your ride today
OK, not much of a ride, nor a fine, detailed pictorial, but I'll bite and share what I have from Sunday. This is from my trip up to Wichita, KS last weekend to see friends and family. This was my lunch, Fire Baked Dragon Roll from Ninza (yes, with a 'z') Sushi in Wichita, KS - by far, BY FAR, the be...

Review of 2014 F800GS Adventure
Here's a recent review of the 2014 F800GS Adventure over at Jalopnik.
Just in case any of you were thinking about upgrading. Of which *I* am. Sometime next year.
Article says they were riding CO and Utah, but, wherever that cover photo is from - I want to go to there.
